Avenir plans fixed-line expansion

Avenir plans fixed-line expansion

July 15, 2017

Telephony distributor, Avenir Telecom, has appointed former Nortel International channel manager, Ben Price, to head up its comms dealer channel and push forward expansion plans.

Avenir, which in the past has focused on mobile communications, plans to expand its product range to include mobile convergence and fixed line telecoms.

Price brings with him over 10 years experience in the networking and telecoms industry, including launching Nortel’s SMB product range into British Telecom’s local business division.

In his new role, he will oversee Avenir’s projects across voice, data, and IP/convergence, while growing the company’s dealer base.

Andy Tow, Avenir managing director, said: “Ben brings with him a wealth of expertise and enthusiasm which is perfectly matched against our ambitions to become as significant a player in the comms channel as we are in mobile.

“He has already made some impressive connections outside of our core dealer base and into the broader comms space, and we look forward to watching this develop further.”
